You don't get your bills passed in this state if leadership doesn't want you to...

Every bill any of us brought on illegal immigration this session. Dead. Even our simple bill to audit the NGOs bringing migrants here. I just wanted an audit. Where's the money going? Who's getting moved where? Who's checking any of it?

Never got a hearing either. Not voted down, nobody had to put their name on it, it just never showed up on a calendar. You want to know how a state kills a bill without anyone answering for it? That's how.

Let's check on DC real quick:

Last year some Idaho state legislators flew to the White House and got told to do something about illegal immigration. Then they came home and did nothing. But some of those same guys had zero problem flying to Mar-a-Lago to help push Trump's family crypto investments (and even missed votes during our own legislative session doing it).

Same people. Not a coincidence, not two separate groups doing two separate things. One trip mattered enough to skip work for. The other one they came home from empty handed.

That's the uniparty for you.

I've been in office a few years now and that's basically the whole lesson. State level, national level, it's one circus with different clowns rotating through.

Case in point, the Epstein stuff. Idaho house reps Simpson and Fulcher voted to send H.Res. 1100 back to committee instead of letting it get a direct vote. That's the resolution that would've forced the House Ethics Committee to actually release its sexual harassment and abuse investigation records. Send it back to committee and you never have to vote against transparency on the record (neat trick).

But I digress...

Because in a few weeks another batch of Idaho Republicans get flown to the White House for head pats.

Want to bet how that goes?

Americans get screwed. That's how it goes.

Trump's people are floating dairy visas that work like amnesty. So we lock down the border with one hand and wave people through the back door with the other. Cool system.

And I still can't tell you exactly where NGO money's landing in Idaho. That's the whole point of the bill I couldn't get a hearing on. But I can tell you the one bill that would've answered that question got squashed before anyone had to vote against it.

"Vote them out!!!"

I hear it constantly.

Nope. You guys keep voting for the same clowns year after year.

Turnout in Idaho sits in the low 20s. So that door's not open right now. And even when it is open, basically nobody walks through it.

Precinct committeeman seats though? Tons of them sit empty because nobody bothers filing. This is the actual foundation the party sits on. And county central committee fills those vacant seats with whoever they want, with no primary needed. Whoever holds one votes on who the party backs next cycle.

So call your county clerk.

Ask who holds yours. If it's vacant, there's your in.

Put your trust in God. Build real relationships with the people around you, your family, your neighbors, your friends. Take care of your own house and people and sphere of influence best you can.

Because most of these guys give zero shits about you.
