While Boise State Closes D.E.I. Centers, Northwest Nazarene Doubles Down on Woke
Time for Jesus to flip some tables in Nampa, Idaho
Last year, in anticipation of the Idaho legislature kneecapping D.E.I. indoctrination in Idaho colleges, Boise State University and others closed down their Gender Equity D.E.I. Alphabet Soup centers.
Pretty wild, right?
And they were right to do so, as in April 2025, we passed SB 1198, which curb-stomped D.E.I. in Idaho higher education.
So imagine my surprise (kind of, but not really) to find that a “Christian” university in my own town, my own district even, is pushing woke nonsense on kids… right now (today, June 2025).
Would Jesus approve of Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho, rolling out the red carpet for “Pride Month”?
(They receive state funds via the socialist “Idaho Launch” program as well)…
Andrew Breitbart famously said,
“Politics is downstream from culture.”
This is why CULTURE matters more than “politics.”
The so-called “culture war” isn’t a sideshow, it’s the main battleground.
Every political fight we bleed for starts in the culture.
When institutions like Northwest Nazarene University, a supposed “Christian” institution, simp for Pride Month points (while pocketing state funds), they’re not just betraying their suppossed Christain principles…
They’re undermining the foundations of a moral, cohesive society.
The fight against D.E.I. in Idaho, with victories like SB 1198, shows we can push back and win.
But laws won’t save us if our churches, schools, and communities are hollowed out by woke dogma. If we let our values be replaced by alphabet soup activism, no legislative win will hold.
We fight the culture wars because they’re the front line.
Borders, language, culture…
Lose here, and you lose the soul of the nation.
Stand firm, or there’s nothing left to stand for.
*UPDATE: 6/11/25:
I visited the location of the transgender monument at Northwest Nazarene University, and it has been quietly replaced with the following. As of now, today, NNU has been 100% silent on this publicly:
*UPDATE: 6/12/25:
I just got off the phone with the President of NNU.
He told me that he was unaware of the trans display until my post here, and promptly ordered the Social Work department to remove it the next day.
While I appreciate his swift action, NNU must ensure such displays align with their theological foundations. I hope they’ll reinforce both oversight and their commitment to core biblical beliefs moving forward.
Keep up the fight, Brian.
Gotta say I'm not surprised about NNU. Have some friends and acquaintances who went there. Heard it was liberal/woke. Then I heard about a Professor who also goes to a woke church who was kicked out of the Nazarene org. Yes, here in Nampa.
